Prohibited Items Policy

1. Introduction

KCShip LLC ("KCShip") maintains strict policies regarding the types of goods we will store, handle, and ship. This Prohibited Items Policy outlines categories of items that are not permitted in our facilities. Violation of this policy may result in immediate termination of services and forfeiture of your inventory.

2. Prohibited Categories

2.1 Illegal Items

We will not store or ship any items that are illegal under federal, state, or local law, including but not limited to:

Controlled substances and illegal drugs
Counterfeit goods and pirated media
Stolen property
Items that infringe on intellectual property rights

2.2 Hazardous Materials

We do not accept hazardous materials as defined by the Department of Transportation (DOT), including:

Explosives, fireworks, and ammunition
Flammable liquids and gases
Corrosive substances (acids, bases)
Toxic or poisonous materials
Radioactive materials
Compressed gases

2.3 Perishable Goods

We do not store or ship perishable items, including:

Fresh food, produce, and dairy products
Frozen goods requiring refrigeration
Live plants and animals
Items with short shelf lives (unless properly packaged and labeled)

2.4 Weapons and Ammunition

We do not accept weapons or ammunition, including:

Firearms and firearm parts
Ammunition and explosives
Knives and bladed weapons (with exceptions for kitchen cutlery)
Tasers, stun guns, and pepper spray

2.5 Tobacco and Alcohol

We do not store or ship:

Tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, vaping products)
Alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, spirits)

2.6 Adult Content

We do not accept sexually explicit materials, including:

Pornographic materials
Adult toys and novelties
Items depicting or promoting sexual content

2.7 High-Value Items

We do not accept items with a value exceeding $5,000 per unit without prior approval and additional insurance, including:

Jewelry and precious metals
Fine art and collectibles
High-end electronics (unless properly insured)

2.8 Regulated Items

We do not accept items subject to special regulations without proper documentation, including:

Prescription medications and medical devices
Dietary supplements and vitamins (without FDA approval)
Cosmetics and personal care products (without proper labeling)
Items requiring special licenses or permits

3. Inspection and Verification

3.1 Right to Inspect

KCShip reserves the right to inspect any shipment received at our facility. If we discover prohibited items, we will notify you immediately and require their removal at your expense.

3.2 Customer Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that all items sent to our facility comply with this policy. You must accurately describe your inventory and provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any items that may be considered hazardous.

4. Consequences of Violation

4.1 Immediate Actions

If prohibited items are discovered at our facility, KCShip may:

Refuse to accept the shipment
Require immediate removal of the items at your expense
Report the violation to appropriate authorities
Suspend or terminate your account

4.2 Liability

You agree to indemnify and hold KCShip harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your shipment of prohibited items. You are responsible for all costs associated with the removal, disposal, or legal consequences of prohibited items.

5. Exceptions and Special Requests

In certain cases, KCShip may make exceptions to this policy with prior written approval. If you wish to store or ship items that may fall into a prohibited category, please contact us in advance to discuss your needs.

6. Changes to This Policy

KCShip reserves the right to modify this Prohibited Items Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through our customer portal. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
